Text Box: Terms of Competition Tri-State will offer annual high-score awards in various classifications as designed by the Board of Trustees. These awards will be based on points accumulated at events recognized by Tri-State which are held between December 1st and November 30th of the following criteria: To be eligible for an award, the horse must be owned or leased by a Tri-State member. The papers must be available on request. No annual award Championship or Reserve will be presented unless the shown horse has been judged a minimum of three shows recognized by Tri-State and accumulated a minimum of fifteen (15) points. Therefore, it shall be the sole responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure that Tri-State has been notified by the Secretary of the horse show—where compliance wit the three shows attendance requirements may be in question. Exception Open Jumper Division. Hunter and Jumper in one division. Tri-State will distribute all members—at lease once during the show year—a listing of points accumulated (through fourth place, if available) in all classification for which an annual award is offered. Scoring For Annual Awards A listing of the various Divisions or Sections for which annual awards are offered is within this website and the official handbook. Division or Section Hunter seat equitation will have the same rating as the Junior Hunter Division Saddle seat equitation will have the same rating as the Three-Gaited Saddle Horse Section Morgan Seat Equitation will have the same rating as the Morgan Division ASB Show Pleasure and Country Pleasure will have the same rating as the ASB Pleasure Division Points in Maiden, Novice, and Limit Classes will not count toward any championship Age of rider in equitation division, including Lead Line, is age as of December 1 and will be maintained throughout the entire competitive year. Any show with a class(s) not being judged with the same specification, as the current TSHSA Gold Book will not be scored OR Any show with a class specification listed in premium list other than as stated in the current TSHSA Gold book will not be scored Divisions or sections offering less than minimum specifications shown below shall be “D” rated.
